My suggestion to the President: if you’re gonna tell an obvious lie, practice in front of a mirror first, …’cause this one doesn’t begin to pass the ‘guffaw’ test:

Okay, a quick poll: everyone who believes that the President of the United States has no idea what this reporter is talking about, say ‘Yay‘…

Of course, he could maintain that he only knows what he hears in the Network press. Given that his BFF’s in the media are attempting a complete blackout on this subject, that would make a modicum of sense.
But this isn’t Joe Six-pack we’re talking about: it’s the Most Powerful Man On The Planet. Plus, Fox News and the Conservative blogosphere has been covering this daily, with Fox, HotAir, and others specifically broadcasting the revelations by Victoria Toensing:
(FOXNEWS) – At least four career officials at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency have retained lawyers or are in the process of doing so, as they prepare to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress, Fox News has learned.
Victoria Toensing, a former Justice Department official and Republican counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, is now representing one of the State Department employees. She told Fox News her client and some of the others, who consider themselves whistle-blowers, have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials.
“I’m not talking generally, I’m talking specifically about Benghazi – that people have been threatened,” Toensing said in an interview Monday. “And not just the State Department. People have been threatened at the CIA.”
We are now truly in ‘Watergate’-type waters, where the mounting evidence of a cover-up is becoming the Mastodon in the room. Charles Krauthammer summed it up perfectly and pithily:
And when President ‘Smart Power’ stands in front of the American people and offers the most amateurish of fibs, you know that it’s now not a matter of IF this is all going to come out, but merely WHEN.
So, on the off-chance that you haven’t seen this interview with Victoria Toensing on Fox, I’ll include it below. While you watch, remind yourself that Benghazi resulted in 4 Americans dying, at the hands of hostile Islamist forces, in one of the most dangerous parts of the world, on 9/11. And also keep in mind that he and his Administration lied about it for days, and now are accused of threatening potential witnesses to remain silent or face legal and/or career-ending repercussions.
But we’re supposed to believe that Obama isn’t keeping tabs on this? Dude, puh-lease….

This dude must be a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Slick Willy School of Parsing. See, in THEIR world, they haven’t “blocked” anyone. They have simply threatened to end their careers and potentially prosecute them. BIG difference, eh?
Saw the Krauthammer clip this morning on TV, and he nails it: the MSM could care less since the accusation is focused on the Obama Administration. If it were any Republican President, this would be front page, first story, every day, for months.\
Undoubtedly, the ultimate conclusion of any MSM coverage of this will come down to a discussion of the “whistleblowers” and, “are they simply racists hiding behind the Benghazi story?”
We already KNOW that Hillary knew MUCH more than she let on, and in all likelihood, perjured herself as evidenced by the emails from her denying additional security, etc.
Hillary “What Difference Does it Make?” Clinton is just as contemptible as Obama is on this. As the SOS, she was a joke. A voter picked at random would have been preferable.
Yes, he’s attempting to parse his words. But at this point, it all rings hollow.
And for him to say that he needs to go “find out what exactly you’re referring to…” is an insult.
He truly thinks the American people are stupid…and for a sizable swath of Liberals in the country, he may have them pegged correctly.

I fully expected him to just say “that was in my first term, so I will be issuing an executive order, soon, that you cannot ask me or my administration about any scandals in my first term. Now what problem?”

He’s not gonna just waltz away on this one.

That will be an interesting thing, JTR, ESPECIALLY given Ms. Toensing’s VERY specific statements. The Admin better KNOW what’s out there in any email or other correspondence!

Maybe they should be looking over their shoulder, especially since he said he will look into it.
This is classic, predictable Obama and it causes me to wonder how he persuaded so many people to reelect him. With all of his character flaws, I don’t see him as a nice guy anymore…to me he is just another empty suit caught in the river of immoral altruism and pragmatic turbulence.
Originally, I assumed him to be a decent man, just incredibly flawed and unprepared for office.
After 5 years, I now still see him as flawed and unprepared, but far, far from a nice guy. He’s a spiteful, mean, petty narcissist who does not tolerate anything than blind obeisance.
When I started calling him President Xerxes last year, I didn’t know how accurate I was……
The “decent man” concept went out the window for me when, as Senator Obama, he voted for partial birth abortion…
Admittedly, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Even with that example, I was hoping that there were two sides to the story, and I just hadn’t heard the other, “reasonable” explanation for such a horrific vote(s).
I so wanted to be wrong…
But I was far more right than I even suspected.
