What’s happened to us?

Recently, a report concerning a man being shot at a convenience store gained headlines. No, not (sadly) because being shot in front of a convenience store in-and-of-itself was unusual, but rather due to the behavior of the customers who subsequently WALKED OVER his body, in the doorway:

 

I thought this must be some sort of unthinkably sick prank, until I read the following account. It seems that this actually occurred back in 2012, and we’re only seeing the video now because the shooter is on trial:

I can’t help it: these videos just make me laugh.

As a blissfully happy, married dude of 19 years, this clip obviously doesn’t apply to me anymore. But every guy remembers the dry mouth and sweaty hands he got prior to asking out a girl back in high school or college, …or later. 

The Art of Manliness: “Do It Now!”

The video series from ‘The Art Of Manliness” is extremely clever, and seems to be attempting to bring some traditional behavior and knowledge back into vogue.

Starring Jordan Crowder (the brother of comedian Steven Crowder), we’ve already featured one of these last week: “How to shave like a REAL man“. The one embedded below is similar in tone, funny, and just as applicable.

Goodness knows we all have a tendency to procrastinate from time to time…

Just for fun: “How to Shave Like a REAL Man”…

Personal disclosure: I’ve used a safety razor, the mug, the brush, etc.,.. and honestly, I’m just too lazy to go through that every day. Give me two minutes and my trusty Philips Norelco Cool Skin razor, any day.

BUT, I will readily admit: (A) this method does, indeed, provide a wonderfully close shave, and (B) that there is a certain aesthetic satisfaction that comes with doing it this way.

Dennis Prager: “It’s as if they NEVER existed….”

An age-old debate between guys and gals is the way men are wired (visually) vs. women (NOT visually).

Lord knows I’ve had this discussion with my beautiful, smart, funny and generally incredible bride of almost twenty years…, and I’m guessing most married/engaged guys have had it, too. Since it’s the middle of summer, and folks are going to the beach, etc,…, this is as good a time as any to review the subject.

Dennis Prager masterfully covers such topics in his live appearances and on his radio show, especially during the “Male/Female Hour”. Using equal parts humor and common sense, Dennis can be trusted to get past various misconceptions, and pull out the truth of the matter.

It’s Frozen Four time, which means …I’m outta here!

I’ll be away for a few days, as one of my best friends and I make our annual hockey pilgrimage to the NCAA Frozen Four.

So, I have enlisted some assistance to pick up my slack while I’m off having fun. The other head, GBL, will obviously be around (thanks, Sis!!), and our regular Guest Noggin’, PGH, will be back, too.
