Obama’s worst lie about Benghazi yet: has NO idea that “anybody’s been blocked from testifying”

My suggestion to the President: if you’re gonna tell an obvious lie, practice in front of a mirror first, …’cause this one doesn’t begin to pass the ‘guffaw’ test:

OBAMA: “…I’m not familiar with this notion that anybody’s been blocked from testifying. So what I’ll do is find out what exactly you’re referring to…”

Okay, a quick poll: everyone who believes that the President of the United States has no idea what this reporter is talking about, say ‘Yay‘…

In what seems to be a daily march of idiocy in our public schools today, we have another child who has been turned into an Enemy of the State.

Tony Bandermann told Fox News that his son Braden was on a science camping trip with his class at Garden Gate Elementary School in Cupertino, Calif.

Bandermann, who was out-of-town on a business trip, said he received a telephone call from the school’s principal informing him that his son had violated the school’s weapons policy. The punishment, she told him, must be immediate and severe.

“She threatened to expel him,” he said. “She kept telling me, ‘you can’t bring a weapon to school.’ A Swiss Army Knife is a tool, not a weapon.”

Wait a sec: weren’t the kids on a camping trip? What is someone supposed to bring when you go camping: a curling iron?

I think I’ve mentioned previously that our theater company is presenting a play about Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s resistance work in Nazi Germany. So his life and words are on my mind a lot just now. One of his most famous quotes (cited above) was the topic of discussion at rehearsal recently.

Bonhoeffer felt that call. Forced to witness the travesty of twisted dogma which was promoted by the new German State Church under Hitler, he could not keep silent. 6,000 pastors formed a new movement called the Confessing Church.

But still, many others caved under the threat of persecution, imprisonment or death, and took an oath of fidelity to Hitler as part of their ministerial vows. Many Germans willingly turned a blind eye to the punishing new decrees against the Jews and others deemed unworthy to be a part of the “master race.”

Chris Matthews and the Blame-America-First crowd are pretty sure that “Jihad” is OUR fault…

Chris Matthews has finally taken that last step off the edge of sanity. 

With more spittle flying from his yap than you’d expect to see at a Skoal convention, Chris Matthews has the perverse ability to speak as if he thinks he’s making sense, yet the words that he (quite literally) spits out are devoid of any rational thought.

Maybe if the French were to bring Inspector Clouseau out of retirement, perhaps HE could find the rationale for this bewildering, incomprehensible, seemingly motiveless crime.

We covered the NRA’s newest spokesman, Colion Noir, a while back. He’s logical, persuasive, and speaks in a commonsense manner on a wide range of gun myths. These myths persist in the media, despite their being disproved, so having someone out there who can consistently and effectively knock them down is essential.

Seriously, bringing someone of his caliber (pun very much intended…) on board was a great move by the NRA.

Most ridiculous statement of the year: “Government is Inherently GOOD…”

We constantly hear various arguments from the Left and scratch our heads, wondering how such lines of reasoning are even possible. Because whether we’re discussing deficits, birth control, guns, national security, health care or education, the Left’s answer always seems to be, “more government!“. 

“I got a fever, ….and the only prescription…., is MORE GOVERNMENT!!”

Such a myopic adherence to an obviously flawed institution would be puzzling, until you consider what their true belief system is. And make no mistake, that’s where this comes from: belief. Which means that far from being a statement of logic, it’s a statement of faith.

“Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned.

State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter. The state’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services said those benefits ended in 2012 when the couple stopped meeting income eligibility limits.
