White House’s “transparency” is anything BUT….

Obama -not Transparent

We’ve just been told for the eight-hundred-and-fifty-millionth time: this IS the most transparent White House in history. Of course, if you don’t believe that, well, …you obviously have some modicum of common sense.

You’d also have functional eyes.

But neither of these are hurdles to the Obama White House and its Praetorian Guard, who seem to believe that through sheer repetition they can invert reality itself:

The Most Transparent Administration EVER strikes again

In the last 5+ years we’ve heard some outlandish knee-slappers from the current Administration: “Smart Power“, “I do think at a certain point, you’ve made enough money“, and one of my personal favorites: “The System Worked…”.

But perhaps no quote was as patently ridiculous as this one: “Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency…

I could spend all week on “…the Rule Of Law...” aspect of that, so for today let’s just concentrate on the first part: transparency. Benghazi, and the Most Transparent Administration EVER

Luke Skywalker - NO

“Nooooooo-oooooooooo…!”

If you read the following and don’t immediately want to scream, you’re doing better than me. From TheHill.com:

Benghazi is not a good example,” Obama said. “We’ve had more testimony and more paper than ever before.”

Got that, all you tinfoil hat wearing, crazy haters? The President just repeated for you, AGAIN, why his is the Most Transparent Administration in the history of Transparent Administrations. Because, that’s why. Furthermore: Shut up.

And, oh yeah: Benghazi doesn’t count

Too many Government Regulations? Heck, you ain’t seen NOTHIN’ yet…!

Far, far too many Federal regulations are strangling our economy, yet there appears to be no end in sight.

What makes this burdensome, crushing over-regulation even worse, however, is the near-pathological lying about it by the current Administration.

The most recent (and possibly the most egregious) example of this is detailed below.

—–

It’s no secret that in the last 20 years, EVERY President has presided over an ever-increasing array of federal regulations.  Some are fairly innocuous, while others have a MAJOR impact on the economy, businesses, and ultimately, US, as citizens.

In early 2011, President Obama signed Executive Order 13563, ‘Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review‘, which basically directed the heads of Executive Agencies to “identify and consider regulatory approaches that reduce burdens”.  It was a cornerstone piece of his 2011 State of the Union address.

Over the year that followed, however, the administration enacted at least 32 new MAJOR regulations.  “Major” is defined as having a projected cost to the economy of at least $100 million dollars……EACH.
