Experts reach Consensus on planned Peace Talks with the Taliban: Yeah, that’s a pretty dumb idea

Back in 2009, President Obama included the following statement in an interview with Al-Arabiya: 

“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy”.

Ummm, okay, but that was always a glaring oversimplification. Left unsaid was that we should probably differentiate between the Muslim world in general, and specifically radical Islamists (such as the Taliban), seeing as how the latter consider themselves to be OUR historic enemies, and plan on remaining so until long after we’re all dead.

For a man who prides himself on ‘nuance’, failing to make such a distinction called into question Obama’s basic competence for this job.

Words I can’t believe I’m typing: “We’re really trying to have Peace Talks with …the TALIBAN”???

We’re trying to have Peace Talks with the Taliban.

Wait a sec… what?

NO way.

Seriously??

No kidding?

Chris Matthews and the Blame-America-First crowd are pretty sure that “Jihad” is OUR fault…

Chris Matthews has finally taken that last step off the edge of sanity. 

With more spittle flying from his yap than you’d expect to see at a Skoal convention, Chris Matthews has the perverse ability to speak as if he thinks he’s making sense, yet the words that he (quite literally) spits out are devoid of any rational thought.

Maybe if the French were to bring Inspector Clouseau out of retirement, perhaps HE could find the rationale for this bewildering, incomprehensible, seemingly motiveless crime.

“Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned.

State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter. The state’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services said those benefits ended in 2012 when the couple stopped meeting income eligibility limits. 

Being “Discriminating” when it comes to #Immigration would be a GOOD thing….

Had a discussion with a young man the other day about why “discrimination” was not inherently a bad thing.

Now, that sentence will make some people immediately go “Whaaaat??”, but before they rush to burn me at the stake, kindly recall what “to discriminate” meant originally. Coming from the Latin discriminatus (which is the past participle of discriminare), the word literally means “to distinguish between”, and dates back to the 1620’s. Even its secondary definition is “to use good judgement”.

So, whenever we have to decide between one option or the other (soup or a sandwich? Coke or Pepsi? Ginger or Mary Ann?), we’re being “discriminating”…, as well as eminently logical.

How the Media got it 100% wrong… AGAIN.

Jacobson has an alarmingly revealing post (complete with videos), which details the Leftist Media’s pathological insistence on framing every potential crazed killer/shooter/bomber/terrorist as “Right Wing”.

Here’s just a taste:

It started with Bill Sparkman, the part-time Census worker who went missing and then was found dead, setting off an avalanche of mainstream media and left-blogosphere accusations that he was the victim of anti-government “right-wing” hate.  It turned out that Sparkman killed himself, but there were few if any apologies coming.
