Jim McDermott: I’m not saying these #TeaParty folks are lying, but… they’re probably lying

There is very little I can add to this video clip (below) without using four-letter words, but I’ll do my best.

I’m actually a little shocked that this guy is being allowed to run free by the Democrats, ’cause this level of high-handedness, belittling and raw condescension doesn’t play well with anyone, other than the most hardcore Leftists.

In his previous diatribe and throughout this interview, what Representative McDermott refused to acknowledge (as we pointed out yesterday) is Tea Party and Conservative groups were targeted due to their views and beliefs. Yet, liberal/progressive groups were not explicitly targeted by the IRS, which is probably why none were brought to testify before the Ways and Means committee.

For the record, if anyone out there thinks this was a clever or winning argument for this guy to make, I’d be curious to hear your explanation.

During today’s IRS hearings, Democrat Jim McDermott scolded representatives of groups who were victims of the IRS targeting scheme in the most condescending way possible, basically telling them: “Hey, if you guys hadn’t applied for tax exemption, the IRS wouldn’t have had to target you“.

Which, to be fair, is a bit like telling a rape victim that “…if you’d just stayed home that day, or if you hadn’t insisted on walking through the park, nothing would have happened, now would it??…”

Diversity has become a joke. 

What I mean by that is that diversity, as defined by the Left, is a joke. That’s because the Left has defined Diversity to mean only superficial or physical differentiations: race, skin color, gender or sexual orientation.

Yes, that is a type of diversity, but then they take it one step beyond. These differences are then brought and held together by stereotypical assumptions about who such individuals are and what they believe, solely BECAUSE of their race, skin color, gender or sexual orientation.

Which is a patently ridiculous (not to mention racist, sexist, and intolerant) view of diversity.

Conservatives have been pointing this out since what feels like the Beginning of Time, but still they persist. As a result, we’re compelled to continually highlight the Left’s unintentional irony and hypocrisy.

“Everything’s Amazing, and NO ONE is Happy”

Today’s post title, stolen from the opening minutes of a video we posted a few weeks back, is as good a summation as I’ve heard for our nation today.

Our lives are filled with wonders which were unimaginable just a short time ago: tiny cell phones, huge flat-screen TVs, laptop computers & tablets, and every other sort of convenience for our homes.

And yet, much like spoiled little Veruca Salt in ‘Charlie & The Chocolate Factory‘, too many folks in our nation today want what they want right now, …and upon receiving it are still not satiated. They merely move on to the next “want”. They never seem to be truly happy or at peace.

Which begs the obvious question, WHY?

I’m betting we could ALL guess at a few of the likely reasons:

Do you like good satire? I do. A friend e-mailed me this the other day and it’s too good not to share. We don’t know who authored it or when it was written. It has Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House so it could have been written in 2009 or 2010, in which case this may not be new to you. But, if you are like me and reading this for the  first time, let’s assume it is 2015 and that the Democrats won control of the House in the 2014 mid-term elections. The Fiscal Cliff is Dead; long live the Fiscal Cliff!!

Ahhhh, ‘Change’….

It seems that the new “Normal” in the age of Obama consists not only of chronically high Unemployment, +$1 Trillion annual deficits, and criticism of even his cabinet members being labeled out-of-bounds, but now will also include the omnipresent fear of the next Fiscal Cliff:

• From SLATE.com: “The Next Fiscal Cliff: Don’t celebrate yet—the next budget crisis is just two months away.”
• From the Detroit Free Press: “Obama signs fiscal cliff bill, attention turns to next crisis.”
• From USNews.com: “Get Ready for the Next Fiscal Cliff“

Wait a sec: we can’t even get through 2 days after the 1st “Fiscal Cliff” is allegedly settled, and the Left is already signalling that they’re just getting warmed up?

And yet logically, shouldn’t all the Lefties, and certainly President Obama, be …happy right now? Contented, even? Just a little?

People say that government can’t be run like a business. I guess that depends on what the true objectives are. Businesses can’t chase every opportunity or customer and they can’t provide every service or product or they will fail. When viewed in this light, business does have a lot in common with government. I think that is why the Founders gave us the Declaration and the Constitution (and made it changeable, but after a long and thoughtful process). If I look at the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, I would compare them to a business’ statement of core values (the Declaration) and a mission statement (the Constitution).

RACISM: only the Left sees it, yet the Left are the ones who DO it

Ahhh, Racism. If you’re a Progressive/Liberal/Democrat, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Throughout the election, many media figures (I’m talking to you, MSNBC) constantly heard alleged racist ‘dog whistles’ coming from the Republicans. These claims were specious and inflammatory, yet no one else in the Main Stream Media called them out for it. Why not?

It’s because by and large, the Left has a fixation about race. And pretty much by definition, if you are totally fixated on race …you’re the racist.

Racism is one of the seven terms that the Progressives use, constantly, to stigmatize Conservatives and/or Republicans. The other six are Sexist, Intolerant, Xenophobic, Homophobic, Islamophobic, and Bigoted. Dennis Prager even coined the acronym ‘SIX HIRB’ to make them easy to remember.

But racism is their favorite. Even when race isn’t an essential part of the discussion, WHAM, they bring it up. Why?
