The Many and Varied Experiences of the Amazing #BrianWilliams…

Frankly, we didn’t intend that the first post after our lengthy hiatus would be a humorous one. But last week’s Brian Williams kerfuffle inspired a good friend of ours, and these are simply too good not to share.

The following 16 images are courtesy of the talented-yet-slightly-warped mind of Tom Dowlin, who can be reached at his Facebook page (facebook.com/tom.dowlin) or by email (artezin@comcast.net).

And if you can come up with other ideas for “Where ELSE was Brian Williams?“, …or ANY graphic arts projects…, please feel free to drop him a line.

Media struggles to spin Obama’s newly affirmed “License To Kill” as a positive

Abu Ghraib.

NSA wire-tapping.

Guantanamo Bay.

Water-boarding.

Remember all these golden hits from not that long ago (plus a host of others) which the Left carped about DAILY? Remember the claims that Bush was a tyrant/dictator/fascist/Nazi? That he was a war-mongering war criminal who really, really loved war? That the United States should be the world’s buddy, and shouldn’t do things like forcibly extracting information from terrorists, or listen in on conversations between terrorists, ’cause THAT would be an egregious governmental overreach?

That is sooooo yesterday.

Lap dog media

In light of the news which we just touched on earlier, the media’s reaction has been somewhat of a mixed bag. Certainly there’s been surprise from some on the Left, and it can’t be ignored that the leaked 16-page ‘White Paper‘ was brought to light via NBCnews.com. But it remains to be seen if this will engender even a fraction of the vitriol that was trained on G. W. Bush and the War on Terror before their guy took over the shop.

Rewriting History: the Left’s favorite tool, and how to combat it

It’s been awhile since I’ve mentioned Chris Matthews, which is likely due to MSNBC’s nightly viewership being a number I could roll on a pair of dice.

That said, their parent network (NBC) often references them, which means their influence is magnified far more than their worse-than-dismal ratings warrant. And THAT’s why I still, occasionally, pay attention to the prattling of Matthews & Co.

The following quote is from Matthews’ Wednesday night ‘Hardball’ show, but the date really doesn’t matter: his shtick is the same, every night and every week. Chris Matthews often describes himself as “leaning” left. HA!

He leans so far left, he’s horizontal.

Gun Rights and a Free Society

Costas122

In light of the events in Kansas City this weekend, and the predictable let’s-ban-all-guns response from the Left (“NBC politicizes Murder/Suicide: inserts anti-gun rant into Sunday’s NFL Halftime Show“), the following video is probably a good reminder for everyone.

(UPDATE) NBC politicizes Murder/Suicide: inserts anti-gun rant into Sunday’s NFL Halftime Show

***UPDATE: Please also see a powerful post on this topic over at doubleplusundead blog.***

Remember back when the NFL couldn’t have Rush Limbaugh on TV, or even be a minority owner of a team, because of his “extremist” (read as “non-Leftist”) views and/or the “concern” that HE might say something offensive??

So instead, they let this moron Bob Costas speak.

Courtesy of John Nolte over at BREITBART.com:

We saw it after that terrible movie theatre shooting in Colorado back in July, and now we’re seeing it with the tragic murder/suicide involving Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher. Damn logic, damn facts, damn waiting for a little something known as an investigation — we have a tragedy, we have a gun, and now we have yet another opportunity to push an agenda meant to strip Americans of their God-given Second Amendment rights.

The 2nd Beat-Down of the week: John Sununu makes Andrea Mitchell appear even dimmer than usual

A second post today for 2 reasons:

  1. This interview (below) shows the best way to deal with liberal Media suits: facts logic. All the press has to fight back with are the DNC/MediaMatters talking points du jour, which crumble to dust in the light of logic and those pesky darned facts.
  2. Also, since this appeared on MSNBC, that means that virtually no one actually saw this. And, if they did, they probably only witnessed the first minute of it, which has gotten a bit of replay around the web. The entire interview is a ‘must watch’.

I have new respect for Sununu every time I see him. As with his VP pick of Ryan, having this guy as one of your surrogates was a great administrative call by Romney.
