What does the Media have to say about that #Benghazi “Molehill” now…?

Cartoonist Eric Allie nailed this back in October of 2012:

Benghazi Molehill - Eric Allie

Just imagine how different things would be today if the Media took even a cursory interest in this story.

You know: like they did with Valerie Plame or Abu Ghraib. Or with Iran-Contra. Or even Justin Bieber.

Is that asking too much?

Sadly, apparently it is:

Somehow, a “narrative” of scandal will be a problem in November for …Republicans?

Liberal Media Bias

Occasionally, you almost have to tip your hat to the utter shamelessness of the Left.

Almost.

Recently, NY Republican Michael Rep. Michael Grimm was indicted for tax fraud, and while CNN wondered aloud if this would adversely affect the Repubs in the upcoming election, ABC’s headline said that the GOP was “stuck” with Grimm. Neither report was flattering, yet neither was all that awful, either.

However, appearing on MSNBC, the Washington Post‘s Dana Milbank took both lines of thinking somewhat …further:

“…But even beyond his seat, you now have the Congressman who’s out because he bought cocaine. Here in Washington, you’ve got the kissing Congressman. You’ve got this now. It begins to develop a sort of narrative that may make it trouble for some of his Republican colleagues

Make a Difference: fund the #Gosnell movie

Today I want to share with you an opportunity in which the whole pro-life community can easily get involved, and which could have a tremendous impact on our cultural mindset. But it is already facing opposition, so your participation will be both helpful and encouraging to three documentary filmmakers.

#Obamacare, the Media, and Lying about Lying

33-jaws-obamacare

You may have heard that the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) recently released a disastrous report which detailed that Obamacare was likely to result in 2.3 million fewer jobs.

But as fast as that news came out, the Democrats and their Media shills issued a counter narrative: “No, that’s not true! It’s not that Obamacare will kill jobs! It’s only that people will choose not to work (or work as much) so as to qualify for health care subsidies, and THAT means that there’ll be the equivalent of 2.3 million fewer people working.

See? It just kills employment, not jobs, which is TOTALLY different! Sorta…”

Of course, the casual news gatherer (which is way more than half the population) never heard the second half of that argument. They heard “No, that’s not true…”, and the rest faded into Miss Othmar’s voice from the Charlie Brown cartoons. No matter, they got the gist: those Republicans have obviously lied once again about King Barack the Beneficent and his glorious Health Care Machine. The details as to exactly if, how or why they lied are probably unimportant, anyway.

Except that they’re not.

Obama’s cheerleaders give their impartial opinion of the #SOTU Address:

press hearts obama

If you’ve read my full rundown of this year’s State Of The Union address, then you already know my opinion of it, and why. But according to the following video clip (below), I must have been watching a different guy, giving a different speech, on a different channel.

‘Cause if we are talking about the same speech, I forced myself through that snooze-fest twice, and have NO idea what they’re talking about…

Mistake-filled reports in Navy shooting reinforces what we already knew about “journalists”

You know, with the media constantly getting egg on their face, time after time, you’d think they’d eventually decide to be just a tad more circumspect in their reporting.

Ha-Ha-Ha!! I kid, obviously.

This time the scene of the MSM’s most recent blunder-palooza was the horrific Navy Yard shooting, where they managed to get virtually every single aspect of their coverage wrong. This Journalist Error Jamboree included everything from the number of gunmen, to his/their identity, all the way down to one outlet (the Daily Mail) using a picture of the “crime scene” …which turned out to be totally unrelated to the shooting.

Hey, kids, these folks are professionals. Don’t try this at home, ‘kay?

Ron Burgundy 444

“…I am VERY professional…”

The Daily Caller has more:

MSNBC’s Alex Wagner continued to use a graphic of the Navy Yard shooter wielding the large AR-15 in a report on Tuesday, hours after CNN issued a report that federal officials were backing away from the AR-15 claim.

When did “To disagree with” someone become “HATE”??

In light of the hullabaloo over Indiana’s RFRA law and the rise of the “Tolerance Police” at our nation’s universities, this post is (sadly) topical once again.

Not much has changed in the last coupla years, has it….?

I’m confused.

When, exactly, did the mere act of not enthusiastically embracing an idea, thought, or ideology become synonymous with “Hate”?

Notice the utter lack of actual logical consistency here. The accusations are hurled as if inarguable facts, but they make no more sense than saying “If you don’t think Catcher In The Rye is a particularly well-written book, then you ‘hate’ literature”.

Gullibility and the Media: “The More Things Change…”

I wrote this paragraph in my first official post on this blog, published over a year ago. It is disturbingly unchanged:

gullibility_testI continue to shake my head in bewilderment at the willful gullibility of so many Americans. We are jaded and cynical about so many things–God and marriage perhaps topping the list–and yet too many are willing to accept the media’s slant on every critical issue in sight.

Really? No doubts? No wondering whether there might be some bias, some personal axe-grinding or palm-greasing going on behind the scenes? We should just nod and smile at each new presidential or congressional fiat attempt, and go back to watching The Biggest Loser.

(OK, I take it back. You should probably scratch out The Biggest Loser and substitute The Voice or Game of Thrones.)

So yesterday when my brother mentioned this Salon.com sub-headline:
