This just in: Obama lied to you. Again.

Obama lied. Again.

Seriously, who could be surprised about this anymore?

(via National Review Online) – President Obama is going back on another chief promise he made regarding Obamacare. In a recent interview, he said that people may have to change their doctors because of the health-care law.

In 2009, during debate about the Affordable Care Act, the president claimed that, along with being able to keep your current plans, “if you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too.”

But in a WebMD interview that aired on Friday, President Obama reneged on that assurance. “For the average person, many folks who don’t have health insurance initially, they’re going to have to make some choices and they might end up having to switch doctors, in part because they’re saving money,” he said.

Video of the exchange is below:

According to MSNBC, Jesus would approve of #Obamacare…

MSNBC - fail

I don’t know what ticks me off more: folks who reflexively impugn people of faith, or folks who deliberately misunderstand/misquote/misrepresent what people have said.

It’s probably a tie.

Which brings me to a recent conversation between MSNBC’s Al Sharpton and political analyst Dr. Victoria DeFrancesco Soto:

It seems there IS a “pre-existing condition” that CAN raise your #Obamacare insurance cost!!

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy

~Ernest BennNew York Times Magazine, 1946

Cost - dollar sign 4476Much has been made of Obamacare’s jettisoning of health insurance Pre-Existing Conditions. I’m not referring to the level/type of care you can expect to receive, but rather the COST of the coverage itself.

So why don’t we take a closer look at that claim, shall we?

Let’s say you’re an intravenous drug-user, and HIV positive. All other factors being equal, will you pay more for health insurance coverage under Obamacare than you would otherwise?

  • No.

Hmmm, … what about if you’re diagnosed with cancer?

  • Again, no.

More “Unintended Consequences” of #Obamacare, revisited…

In our culture today, especially with Washington partisans trying to spin facts into opinions and opinions into falsehoods, I believe more than ever that we need to strongly remind everyone when we’re right about something.

Admittedly, we’re usually right about stuff here, but sometimes we’re even more right than normal.

Case in point: Obamacare. We’ve been doing our best Howard Beale impression when discussing it, forever. Yet even with the entire Tea Party and more than a few GOP members on our side, we were ignored.

Which is why I’m attaching a post I wrote waaaay back at the start of this year. You can decide for yourself if, in light of recent events, it was accurate or not.

#Obamacare: “I just didn’t realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.”

For about the thousandth time since the 2012 election, let me say it again: “Thanks, Lefties“.

Old insurance guys like me instinctively knew that Obamacare would be a disaster for our nation, but not you guys. Oh, no: you insisted it’d be awesome! How’s that working out so far, …hmmm?!?

obamacare screw 8

To be fair, even the most hardcore skeptics thought the Federal Government might possibly have the basic machinery in place in order to operate the Exchanges, prior to opening.

The website is the EASIEST part, after all: it’s the bare minimum level of demonstrable competence. But c’mon: praising the Government for having their website running smoothly from the start would be like congratulating a new hamburger stand for actually having hamburgers available on Day #1.

And the Obama Administration couldn’t even get that figured out?? “Smart Power”, my fanny…

The Folly of #Obamacare….

When he was first elected, President Obama could seemingly do no wrong. His speeches were greeted as if he was God’s own herald, and he was showing the path to Heaven.

Now? Not so much.

Luckily for us, we have located his Achilles Heel: Obama himself. Or, to put a finer point on it, Obama’s abnormally outsized ego.

Obama Ego

Remember, this is the guy who informed us that:

“I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters,’’ he told campaign aides when he was running for the White House. “I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that . . . I’m a better political director than my political director.’’

A humble man, he ain’t.

Still more “unintended consequences” of Obamacare

Have you noticed the only time we hear about Obamacare any more is when we find something ELSE wrong with it? And even then, we have to go hunting for the story?

Gee, I wonder why…. (Courtesy of WTOP.com):

“Some families to be priced out of health overhaul”

WASHINGTON (AP) – Some families could get priced out of health insurance due to what’s being called a glitch in President Barack Obama’s overhaul law. IRS regulations issued Wednesday failed to fix the problem as liberal backers of the president’s plan had hoped.

As a result, some families that can’t afford the employer coverage that they are offered on the job will not be able to get financial assistance from the government to buy private health insurance on their own. How many people will be affected is unclear.

The Obama administration says its hands were tied by the way Congress wrote the law. Officials said the administration tried to mitigate the impact.

Whoa, whoa, whoa….  Hold on a second, Sparky. What did that say?

The Obama administration says its hands were tied by the way Congress wrote the law“….

Incredible: President “Present” strikes again.

obama-seal-its-not-my-fault

This is a joke, right? C’mon: it was Obama’s ‘Historic Accomplishment’! He championed Obamacare through HIS Democrat controlled House and HIS Democrat Senate without so much as a single Republican vote for it during final passage. He crisscrossed the country in support of it, for a year.

But his “hands were tied”? That’s pathetically spineless, even for Obama.
