One last post about everyone’s favorite Antarctic Global Warming Research Ship

Funniest (and most creative) spin on this subject that I’ve seen yet, courtesy of Gary Varvel:

Gilligan's Iceland 444

Of course, the whole thing was already pretty funny, all on its own:

All Weather Is Caused By Global Warming

No one destroys the Global Warming Alarmists’ ridiculous hyperventilating with quite the same aplomb as our buddy, Cosmo.

This post is shorter than normal for him, …but just as lucid. Great stuff.

I listened to an NPR story this morning about wild weather tied to unusual jet stream activity and I waited patiently for the eventual tie in to Global Warming.  I knew it would happen and I was not disappointed.

It’s not clear whether global warming contributed to the recent extreme weather in Colorado, but it is possible, Francis says. That’s because the Arctic is warming up much faster than other areas, which “must have an effect on the jet stream,” Francis says.

Never mind that Arctic sea ice increased this year.  And don’t look at the data showing Arctic sea ice at the same level we were at in 2005.  And by all means, don’t look at the data that show the Arctic sea ice is now ‘normal’ when compared to the average since 1981.

Hey, what happened to Obama’s “laser-like focus” on jobs?

Lost in all of the Syria/Obama/will-he-or-won’t-he headlines from the past several days is the massive devastation of the United States jobs market.

Glenn Foden over at Townhall.com summarized it perfectly:

JOBS - pipelines would help 443

To place Glenn’s cartoon into context, all you need is this article from Bloomberg News:

“…While unemployment dropped last month to 7.3 percent, the lowest level since December 2008, the decline occurred because of contraction in the workforce, not because more people got jobs. Labor-force participation — the share of working-age people either holding a job or looking for one — stands at a 35-year low.”

Chutzpah: Obama now says there’s ‘No Evidence’ #KeystoneXL Would Create Many Jobs

Obama DOE 13This news item got a bit lost over the weekend, which may have been by intent. However, this excerpt shows you just how deeply indebted (or how like-minded) President Obama is to the radical “Green” lobby in the United States.

From Breitbart.com:

In a New York Times interview published Saturday, President Obama came out foursquare against the Keystone XL pipeline, claiming that it would not create jobs. “Republicans have said that this would be a big jobs generator,” Obama said. “There is no evidence that that’s true.”

(VIDEO) – Crazy, Vile Eco-freaks attack Mine site in #Wisconsin…

Pretend for a minute that a video existed which showed out-of-control, right-wing, Conservative Republicans with their faces hidden by masks and bandannas. Pretend they were all screaming, cursing and basically behaving like your average Muslim Brotherhood supporters.

Not just audio, mind you: VIDEO.

Write what you're toldIs it any stretch of the imagination to assume that such a video would be shown on every News Channel, every 20 minutes, …PLUS Comedy Central, …PLUS all the daytime shows?

Such a video DOES exist, …but since it concerns folks on the Left behaving like animals, the media has immediately begun channeling Marcel Marceau, and thus we don’t hear so much as a peep from them.

The following story springs from Wisconsin, a state which has already seen more than its share of crazy Lefty activity in the last couple of years, as you might “recall”.

Thanks to legislation signed by Governor Scott Walker this year, there’s an open-pit iron mine being developed up in northern Wisconsin. Since this will provide resources, jobs and be a general boon to the economy, NATURALLY the Left has a visceral hatred for it and wants to shut it down immediately.

The EPA’s newest and bestest idea ever: the “Rain Tax”

Somebody, please, wake me up when the lunacy is over…

From baltimore.cbslocal.com:

The nickname is rain tax, and the more hard surfaces you have–like a parking lot–the harder it’s going to bite.

When rain falls on rooftops or other hard structures like driveways and parking lots, it scours away chemicals from air pollution, eventually running off into the Chesapeake Bay.

It’s a big source of those poor grades given to the bay’s health in annual report cards.

“The Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams are overloaded with too much nitrogen, phosphorous and sediment,” said Will Baker, Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Which destroys water quality and feeds algae blooms that create dead zones. So Maryland’s legislature has created the impervious surface tax.

“The impervious surface tax would have an enormous impact. We have 200 sites throughout the state of Maryland. If you look at Our Daily Bread for example, the proposed fee would be $5,000,” said Bill McCarthy, Dir. Catholic Charities. And that’s for just this one property of Catholic charities.

Yes, you read that exactly right.

The Great Green Con

More proof of history’s greatest hoax.

Quixotes Last Stand

David Rose — Daily Mail — March 16, 2013

No, the world ISN’T getting warmer (as you may have noticed). Now we reveal the official data that’s making scientists suddenly change their minds about climate doom. So will eco-funded MPs stop waging a green crusade with your money? Well… what do YOU think?

The Mail on Sunday today presents irrefutable evidence that official predictions of global climate warming have been catastrophically flawed.

The graph on this page blows apart the ‘scientific basis’ for Britain reshaping its entire economy and spending billions in taxes and subsidies in order to cut emissions of greenhouse gases. These moves have already added £100 a year to household energy bills.
