Of course: White House argues that Nuns are NOT exempt from birth control mandate…
If anyone was surprised about this, they shouldn’t be.
(via LIFENEWS.com) – The Obama administration has filed legal papers appealing a decision by the Supreme Court to protect a group of Catholic nuns from being forced to obey the controversial birth control mandate.
As LifeNews reported this week, in a huge 11th-hour victory for pro-life advocates, the Supreme Court issued an order late Tuesday night stopping the Obama administration from forcing a group of Catholic nuns to obey the HHS mandate that compels them to pay for abortion-causing drugs and birth control.
In an interview after the decision, the White House said forcing the Catholic nuns to pay for those objectionable things that run counter to Catholic Church pro-life teachings strike’s the right “balance.”
Obamacare “Compromise,” Moral Fiction and Snake-oil Theology
There is a very well-argued piece over at the ADF website on the shell game the Obama Administration is playing with the contraception mandate in Obamacare.
We’ve linked Obamacare-related posts from ADF before (here, and here), but this is probably their best yet. In it, they make a number of excellent analogies which highlight just how duplicitous this most recent alleged “compromise” is.
In fact, this is no compromise at all, unless your idea of compromise is “we lose, they win”.
Taken in conjunction with our post from the other day (“Hey, would YOU like to be my doctor? Thanks to Obamacare, you’ll probably qualify…“), it’s apparent that the Affordable Care Act, as predicted, just keeps getting worse.

OBAMACARE “COMPROMISE,” MORAL FICTION AND SNAKE-OIL THEOLOGY
-By Matt Bowman, Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Legal Counsel
The Obama administration proposed a new regulation last week in its assault on religious freedom through ObamaCare, but the regulation is the same old story: the government violates religious freedom while imposing its own strange moral theological views on religious groups to tell them they should not complain.

We told ya’ so: Obama’s 2nd term, Hobby Lobby and your ever-diminishing First Amendment rights
For most of this year, in post after post, we (along with about a million other folks, so we can’t take ALL the credit…) warned that the Obama Administration via Obamacare was coming after Religious Freedom, and was going to try to make it virtually impossible to both practice your faith AND operate your business.
Heck, that’s what that whole “contraception” battle really was. It wasn’t about access to condoms or the ‘pill’; it was about your faith being ruled out-of-bounds when it came to owning and operating your company.
And, yes, I of course heard that I was being “ridiculous”, …numerous times.
Yeah. Sure I was.
Fast forward to the “Hobby Lobby” lawsuit that is STILL going on right now.
