Unreal: MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is suddenly appalled by “hyperbolic” language

111 Chris MatthewsI swear, these people have no pride.

It was a mere two days ago that we detailed the completely over-the-top comparison by Mr. Matthews of conservative pundits and the GOP to Kim Jong-un’s execution of his own uncle. Before that, Chris echoed and a cheered a similar comparison of pre-Obama United States to Apartheid-era South Africa (made by fellow MSNBC-er Al Sharpton).

And yet, he now comes on his nightly show, and decries…hyperbole?

A new low: Chris Matthews compares the #GOP to Kim Jong-un executing his uncle

In the midst of the Great Obamacare Collapse, the media and Democrats (I know, I know: “they’re the same thing”…) are both desperately searching for ANYTHING with which to distract the American public.

And right on cue, the always-dependable Chris Matthews has been trying his darndest to answer the call.

Chris’ basic shtick is to rapidly hurl insults at the Right in his permanently semi-inebriated state, night after night. But since that’s even more annoyingly repetitive than it sounds, he seems to have stepped up his game by going for bigger and bolder lies, replete with more despicable invective.

How else to explain how he went from comparing the Republicans to Apartheid-era South Africa last week, to THIS:

The Cult of Obama is here…

MSNBC has officially entered a new level of adulation and fan worship in the Age Of Obama, and my only hope is that it isn’t contagious.

To be sure, they’ve always been willing to say anything, make any kind of ridiculous comparison or analogy, in order to justify their worldview. And their snide self-righteousness has always made it that much more stomach-churning.

That’s why they’re significantly worse than an actual State Run Media, since they do all of it without being told.

They’re cultists, posing as journalists, acting as government mouthpieces.

MSDNC - 888

But this is a new level, an entirely new pinnacle, even for them.

Chris Matthews and the Blame-America-First crowd are pretty sure that “Jihad” is OUR fault…

matthews 777Chris Matthews has finally taken that last step off the edge of sanity.

With more spittle flying from his yap than you’d expect to see at a Skoal convention, Chris Matthews has the perverse ability to speak as if he thinks he’s making sense, yet the words that he (quite literally) spits out are devoid of any rational thought.

Watch the following clip and see what I mean.

All that jihad that we see everywhere? According to Chrissy, somehow that’s OUR fault??

Rewriting History: the Left’s favorite tool, and how to combat it

It’s been awhile since I’ve mentioned Chris Matthews, which is likely due to MSNBC’s nightly viewership being a number I could roll on a pair of dice.

That said, their parent network (NBC) often references them, which means their influence is magnified far more than their worse-than-dismal ratings warrant. And THAT’s why I still, occasionally, pay attention to the prattling of Matthews & Co.

19690

The following quote is from Matthews’ Wednesday night ‘Hardball’ show, but the date really doesn’t matter: his shtick is the same, every night and every week. Chris Matthews often describes himself as “leaning” left. HA!

He leans so far left, he’s horizontal.

Read the following and you’ll see what I mean: (courtesy of HotAir.com and Duane Patterson, as well as Newsbusters.org):

With their Fingers in their Ears

Did ya ever have a discussion with someone who ignored your side completely? Where you were each explaining why you felt a certain way and the other person, for whatever reason, seemed to not even acknowledge what you said and never answered your concerns? Basically, they listened sorta like this:

Well, I’ve got a real world example of this that didn’t get much, if any, press.

And it needs to.

——————-

Recently, Kathleen Sebelius was invited to speak at the Georgetown’s School for Public Policy. Seeing as Georgetown is ostensibly a Catholic university, and when you take into account Sebelius’ role in implementing Obamacare as HHS Secretary, you may be able to understand why some folks were a bit miffed at her appearance.

However, the super-smart cognoscenti on the Left immediately castigated us: “you over-religious types are getting worked up into a lather for nothing, dontcha know”!

Consider this opinion from Chris Matthews, from MSNBC:

“….And now a word about Secretary Sebelius. It could be argued  that this one person has done more to reduce the number of unwanted  pregnancies than anyone in our country. She’s behind the policy of  requiring insurance companies to cover birth control. Making birth  control free, which is what she has done, will do more to reduce  unwanted pregnancies than anything I can imagine.

—–

Rather than protesting what she’s doing, pro-lifers and pro-choicers might think about giving her a  little credit, or at least let her speak.”

Ummm, ..what? Hey, Chris, did you just say, “Making birth  control free, which is what she has done, will do more to reduce  unwanted pregnancies than anything I can imagine“? Really, Chris? So, all we need to do is to give stuff away “free” from the government (or under a government mandate) and all will be better? Really? Why am I having a hard time buying that? Has it worked for food stamps, Chris? Housing? Or anything else that we give away for “free”?

Moreover, access to contraception is not an issue in this country. That’s like saying we need to have government intervention to increase public access to chocolate. Far from the way it used to be years ago, many forms of contraception have no age restriction and they’re available in more stores than I can count. Condoms are handed out, for free, in public schools and you can get almost any form of contraception at every secular women’s health center in the country.

Chris, the reason the folks didn’t want Sec. Sebelius to speak at a Catholic college was that she, along with President Perfect, is forcing Catholics to go against the teachings of their faith, to basically endorse a sin. It is a religious freedom issue, not a contraception issue, you twit!

The guidelines issued by the HRSA mandating coverage for contraceptives includes the following: “All Food and Drug Administration approved contraceptive methods, sterilization procedures, and patient education and counseling for all women with reproductive capacity.” By definition, this will include abortifacient drugs. Most forms of contraception are not in line with Catholic teaching. That same teaching dictates such items (especially the abortifacient drugs) run counter to our faith, and it is not within the purview of the US Government to say otherwise. Catholics can agree or disagree with the Church’s teaching, but that is a religious matter, not a governmental one.

And yet, the liberal pundits and Obamacare apologists will continue to frame it as ONLY a contraception issue, while refusing to even entertain the real reason that has animated millions of people across the country: that it’s about Religious Freedom.  Truly, it’s as if they have signs & cue cards for whenever they’re confronted with an argument that runs counter to their liberal orthodoxy:

Looking for Change?

I was trying to get away from the “all-Trayvon-Martin, all-the-time” coverage for an evening, but I came across an article from Thomas Sowell that made perfect sense, as usual.

From Townhall.com:

Author Harry Stein………asks a very fundamental question: “Why, even after the Duke University rape fiasco, does the media continue to give credence to every charge of racism?

Let us talk sense, like adults. Nothing that is done to George Zimmerman — justly or unjustly — will unlynch a single black man who was tortured and killed in the Jim Crow South for a crime he didn’t commit.

There is no question that we are living in a society today that is conflicted on race. On one side, you have the folks that truly are following what they’ve been taught since birth: to judge someone by the “content of their character, not the color of their skin” (sound familiar??). On the other side, there are those who are seemingly consumed with race, and manage to inject it into every topic, every issue, even ones that have nothing to do with race.

These people will insist that the United States is “racist”, even after a horrific Civil War, 50 years of the Civil Rights movement, Affirmative Action, and on and on, …ALL of which ultimately led to the election of Barack Obama. To still portray our nation as inherently racist is ridiculous. In fact, we’re the least racist country in the world.

From Dennis Prager:

And when any of these people come here, they are accepted as Americans the moment they identify as such. If someone — from anywhere, speaking any language, looking like a member of any race — becomes an American, he or she will be regarded as fully American.

This is not true elsewhere.

A third-generation Turkish-German, whose German is indistinguishable from the German spoken by an indigenous German, will still be regarded by most Germans as a Turk. The same holds true elsewhere in Europe.

—–

Most Americans were hopeful that the election of a black president — thereby making America the first white society in history to choose a black leader — would finally put to rest the myth of a racist America. More than three years later it seems not to have accomplished a thing. I now suspect that if the president, the vice-president, the entire cabinet, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and all nine justices on the Supreme Court were black, it would have no impact on blacks who believe America is a racist society — or on the left-wing depiction of America as racist.

Quite so. You have the usual Race Industry hacks, all jockeying for position to exploit Trayvon for their own gain. Worse than that, because of the sensationalism and hype in the Martin case, we have “get-even” crimes occurring now, and they aren’t even getting mentioned in the news.

At all.

Walter Williams highlighted this problem recently, as well:

Let’s look at some non-news cases. On March 14 in Tulsa, Okla., a white couple suffered a home invasion by Tyrone Woodfork, a 20-year-old black man. Ninety-year-old Bob Strait suffered a broken jaw and broken ribs in the attack. His 85-year-old wife, Nancy, was sexually assaulted and battered to death, ending their 65-year marriage.

On March 4, two black Kansas City, Mo., youths doused a 13-year-old boy in gasoline and set him on fire, telling him, “You get what you deserve, white boy.” Last summer, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel ordered an emergency shutdown of the beaches in Chicago because mobs of blacks were terrorizing white families.

Several years ago, in Knoxville, Tenn., a young white couple was kidnapped by four blacks. The girl was forced to witness her boyfriend’s rape, torture and subsequent murder before she was raped, tortured and murdered. Before disposing of her body, the three men and one woman poured bleach or some other cleaning agent down her throat in an effort to destroy DNA evidence. A jury found the four guilty, and they were sentenced, but because of the judge’s drug use, a retrial is being considered.

None of those black-on-white atrocities made anywhere near the news that the Trayvon Martin case made, and it’s deliberate. Editors for the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times and the Chicago Tribune admitted to deliberately censoring information about black crime for political reasons, in an effort to “guard against subjecting an entire group of people to suspicion.”

Williams’ conclusion? Cases like this will continue to be ignored in the media:

….. because black-on-black crime, like black-on-white crime, does not fit the liberal narrative of the continuing problem of white racism.

And now, on top of all this, another race meme has begun to appear recently: “If we don’t re-elect Obama, it’s only because we’re racist“.

Obviously….

—————————————–

Let’s show the race-hustlers the door, folks. Don’t give the race-obsessed media so much as the time of day. And maybe, just maybe, someday we’ll be able to have a decent discussion on race that doesn’t include the term “racist”.

Now THAT would be change to believe in.
