Saw an old Far Side comic the other day, and it got me to thinking about Islamic Terrorism. Here, take a look:
This is exactly what we’re trying to accomplish in the current version of the War On Terror: we’re pushing really, really hard on a door which is clearly marked ‘Pull’.

My sweet two-year-old granddaughter experienced her first bout of the stomach flu this weekend. She tried to tell me that she was in pain (which was obvious), but she had no words for ‘nausea’ or ‘gastric distress’. So she had to show me, by emptying the contents of her stomach onto my going-to-the-theater clothes.
Poor little sugar plum, not only in pain but frightened by that bizarre event. I wiped and cuddled and soothed, and she clung to me. “You not leavin’ me, Mama. You not leavin’ me!”
No, baby. Mama definitely can’t go anywhere now. It’s not that Papa couldn’t take good care of you. But you want me, and I want you to know that you can depend on me.
If you don’t follow Cornell Law Professor William A. Jacobson’s blog, “Le•gal In•sur•rec•tion“, please consider doing so today.
Jacobson has an alarmingly revealing post (complete with videos), which details the Leftist Media’s pathological insistence on framing every potential crazed killer/shooter/bomber/terrorist as “Right Wing”.
Here’s just a taste:
It started with Bill Sparkman, the part-time Census worker who went missing and then was found dead, setting off an avalanche of mainstream media and left-blogosphere accusations that he was the victim of anti-government “right-wing” hate. It turned out that Sparkman killed himself, but there were few if any apologies coming.

We can’t do continual LIVE updates throughout the day, but National Post can. One of our favorite online news sources, they are unusually fair and balanced…
All of us were horrified by the Boston Marathon Bombings, but there was little that we could do here to shed any new light on the situation. The coverage has been wall-to-wall, major news agencies have gotten stories completely wrong, and others have predictably used the situation to push their preconceived agendas.
None of it will do anything to fill-in the holes in people’s hearts, placed there by villains’ bombs. None of it will help a loved one, a city, or a country, heal.
