“Help Christians in Iraq”

It’s been a long week, folks, and tonight it seems self-evident that there is nothing I could possibly say here that is more important than what was said on Kuyperian Commentary last week:  

“A thousand friends are too few; one enemy is one too many.”

“As the hostile situation in the Middle East continues to escalate, our Christian brothers and sisters are being killed for taking the name of our Lord. Each day we read reports of violent deaths, beheadings, and the desolation of Christian communities throughout Iraq. In the northern region of Kurdistan, home to the Kurdish people, our Christians brothers and sisters have become refugees sheltering in besieged villages and towns.

“Kurdistan, very nearly the last sanctuary for Christians in the Muslim Middle East, is now under siege by the Ji’hadi terrorist forces of ISIS. Tens of thousands of refugees from the rest of Iraq and Syria are now threatened–along with the dynamic Kurdish Christian communities.

“The Nuun Fund has been established to speed urgently needed gifts to our friends at the Classical School of the Medes in the cities of Erbil, Dohuk, and Sulaymaniyah. Thanks to the work of the Nuun Fund relief supplies are starting to make their way to our brothers and sisters and the refugees they are caring for in Kurdistan.

OUT: the “Rule Of Law” — IN: the “It-All-Depends-On-How-Obama-Feels-That-Day” of Law

Or put another way: the Rule of ‘Whim‘.

In light of the recent prisoner-swap of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, we need to once again discuss our President’s apparent disdain for the Constitution and its laws, which undergird our nation. Because to Barack, Rules and Laws are little more than speed-bumps.

Ever since his inauguration in 2009, Obama’s tenure has been one long game of ‘Can-You-Top-This?’ played at (and with) our nation’s capital. Just consider:

Hmmm,….  How’s that coming along? Let’s take a peek at a few items from the region:

#Egypt, the Middle East, and the ‘One-State Solution’…

Egypt continues to be embroiled in turmoil.

Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood have lost their shot at power in Egypt (nice job with that, fellas!!), much to the chagrin of our President. After all, Obama was one of Morsi’s biggest supporters, with the story of the two men playing out similarly to one of those old ‘boy-meets-girl’ trade paperbacks:

• boy woos dictator,
• boy gets dictator,
• boy loses dictator.

Now, no one’s quite sure as to exactly WHAT form of government will ultimately replace the Morsi regime in the long term, although the general consensus seems to be: probably something even worse.

In the new War On Terror, WE are the targets…

Saw an old Far Side comic the other day, and it got me to thinking about Islamic Terrorism. Here, take a look:

This is exactly what we’re trying to accomplish in the current version of the War On Terror: we’re pushing really, really hard on a door which is clearly marked ‘Pull’.

The Benghazi Talking Points, part 2: (VIDEO)

We normally don’t insist on stuff like this, but today’s the exception: if you didn’t read the previous post on these Benghazi talking points, you really, really need to.

Now.

Why? Basically, this finally answers the question that the Left USED TO ask: “WHAT did the White House know, and WHEN did they know it”?

It turns out that they knew quite a bit, they knew it immediately, …and they’ve been lying to our faces about it from Day One.

This is an important revelation, and all credit goes to The Weekly Standard here. Their report includes far more detail than any video clip can summarize in four minutes, but Fox’s coverage below makes for a great follow-up to The Standard’s findings. 

Chris Matthews and the Blame-America-First crowd are pretty sure that “Jihad” is OUR fault…

Chris Matthews has finally taken that last step off the edge of sanity. 

With more spittle flying from his yap than you’d expect to see at a Skoal convention, Chris Matthews has the perverse ability to speak as if he thinks he’s making sense, yet the words that he (quite literally) spits out are devoid of any rational thought.

All that jihad that we see everywhere? According to Chrissy, somehow that’s OUR fault??

France is faced with the MOST BAFFLING CASE of ALL TIME!

Maybe if the French were to bring Inspector Clouseau out of retirement, perhaps HE could find the rationale for this bewildering, incomprehensible, seemingly motiveless crime.
