You Citizens Need to Stop Questioning #Obamacare….

Are You Causing Trouble

It is now painfully clear that all criticism or questioning of our President’s signature legislation is now officially prohibido.

Consider this an UPDATE to last week’s “Attempting to Silence #Obamacare’s Victims“:

So let’s review, shall we?

Fighting the Food Fanatics

“Life Tastes Good…”

(*Coca-cola slogan from 2001)

——–

We’ve heard it all our lives: Don’t eat this, don’t drink that. Such-and-such food is horrible for you!! And this other food? Even worse.

Sure, burgers-&-fries are a given. But there’s TONS more: Trail mix. Canned soup. Bread. Gluten. Soda. Granola. Sugar.

…All bad. Evil, in fact.

no-junk-food3“Evil” is more accurate, at least based on the popular rhetoric. After all, each proclamation is broadcast and echoed with a religious fervor that’d put most congregations to shame.

These various foods and ingredients are “temptations”, you see, which makes us (the consumer) the sinners in need of absolution.

Obama and the #NSA: “Trust us!! It’s not like we’ve ever lied to you BEFORE…”

NSA - fake logo

President Obama’s latest speech/presser about the NSA could be summed-up by the following Tweet:

Quite so. It was a rambling, barely coherent collection of blather and nonsense, laced with pinkie-promise assurances of “only when necessary” & “Hey, we’re not interested in YOU“.

Here’s just a snippet:

Freedom?? – Florida woman living “off the grid” is being evicted from her house

**(Kudos to ‘WChildBlog‘ for bringing this to our attention…)

How many of us have ever wondered aloud about living more simple, less cluttered lives? Regardless of one’s motivation, regardless of whether any of us would actually CHOOSE it for ourselves, living without mankind’s modern “conveniences” does have a certain allure.

As long as we’re not hurting others, isn’t such a decision is up to us? In a free society, isn’t that our choice to make?

And if it’s not, then how free ARE we, …really?

So after this initial article on Fox4 News came out, Cape Coral’s city code enforcement officers showed up and proclaimed Robin Speronis’ house to be “unfit” for human habitation.

Did she have rats? No. Was she mixing dangerous chemicals that could potentially hurt others? No. Did she owe the city money? Again, no.

When Obama speaks of “Freedom”, he doesn’t mean what you THINK he means…

gregwardwv“…Did you see that amazing football game this weekend?…”

That’s a question millions of Americans ask each other every week throughout the fall and early winter. Whether you prefer high school, college or the NFL is irrelevant: it is the nation’s unquestioned #1 sport, and everyone knows precisely what is meant upon hearing the question.

And yet: what happens if you ask the same question of an Englishman? Instantaneously, he’ll picture images of a soccer field in a rowdy stadium, with the latest exploits of Manchester United or some other local club replaying in his mind.

We purportedly speak the same language (English), and use the exact same word (“football”). The actual understood meanings of that word, however, are completely different.

And so it is with Barack Obama and “freedom”. Whenever he speaks of it, our president is supposedly speaking the same language as the country he leads, and yet “freedom” to Mr. Obama most certainly doesn’t mean what it does to you and me.

…and it certainly doesn’t mean what our Founders intended, either.

Obama’s FTC wants to “protect” you from the unscrupulous business practices of …your local Music Teacher

Like a towering regulatory tsunami, our benevolent Federal Government is sending a huge wave of brand new regulations crashing across the nation. And getting to higher ground won’t help matters, I’m afraid.

It’s been a busy year for our Federal Busybodies. Among the hundreds of brand new directives, they’ve added the FDA’s proposed ban of trans fats, the FTC’s new rule on the Hart-Scott-Rodino procedures for pharmaceutical companies, and the EPA revealing that they’re planning on rolling out 134 new environmental regulations in 2014 (which was announced on the day before Thanksgiving, so it would go largely unnoticed. Nice…).

But for a taste of just how petty and nonsensical some of these new regs are, I’ve got a doozy that’s received scant attention from the media.

It seems that our government wishes to “protect” us from the unscrupulous business practices of …your local piano teacher:

In Honor of Veteran’s Day….

Veterans Day

As the proud son of a Naval Officer, I’m always mindful of the sacrifices our men and women in uniform have made to ensure our freedom.

Without their service, which included the dual “benefits” of mediocre pay and tremendous personal risk, we’d have no buffer between us and the cruel, heartless despots around the globe.

Another Obama Power Grab: Hey, let’s spend $$$ we don’t have to “prepare” for Climate Change!

Just another day at the office for the despicable, power-hungry busybodies in the Obama Administration, also known as They Know Better, Inc®:

More on this story over at Bunkerville:

“…At a speech at Georgetown University  in June, Mr. Obama outlined executive  actions he would take to require  government and private industry to prepare for  the effects of climate  change.

(Read more: Washington Times

Though laws dealing with the issue are often criticized by those who do not  ascribe to leftist environmental policies, this order is especially dangerous  because Obama completely circumvented congressional oversight in its  implementation.

The fiat decision, entitled “Preparing the United States for the Impacts of  Climate Change,” will have far-reaching effects on the lives of Americans,  despite mounting evidence that human activity has no measurable effect on the  environment.
