Back in April, we wrote here about a trio of brave and persistent film-makers who were attempting to raise $2.1 million to make a movie about the convicted mass-murdering abortionist Kermit Gosnell. Since Kickstarter was unwilling to allow them to use that crowd-funding source, Ann McElhinny, Phelim McAleer and Magdalena Segieda went to Indiegogo, and they were wildly successful, raising a record $2.24 million, the most ever raised for a film via Indiegogo!
Yesterday, they announced some very exciting news, and readers of ‘Two Heads…‘ will be especially pleased, I’m sure:
Andrew Klavan has been signed to write the screenplay for the movie.
**NOTE: A few years back, I wrote the following post on the then-current “ceasefire” agreement between Hamas and Israel.
Given recent events concerning Israel, it seems appropriate to remind us all that what we’re seeing today is whatever comes AFTER déjà vu: we don’t simply feel that we’ve seen it before, but that we’re destined to see it again, too.
And I still maintain, as I did years ago, that Klavan’s suggestion (below) is the best option around…
PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST: “You’re Doing it Wrong”
(Originally posted November 23, 2012)
Don’t get too comforted by the temporary armistice between Hamas and Israel, everyone.
First of all, as Ed over at Hotair.com said, “The description of the cease-fire as “tenuous” is a masterpiece of understatement“.
“This is a respite in Gaza, not a resolution“, Max Boot flatly stated.
They’re both right, of course. That’s because Israel wants peace, and each of Israel’s enemies want …the end of Israel.
Egypt continues to be embroiled in turmoil.
Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood have lost their shot at power in Egypt (nice job with that, fellas!!), much to the chagrin of our President. After all, Obama was one of Morsi’s biggest supporters, with the story of the two men playing out similarly to one of those old ‘boy-meets-girl’ trade paperbacks:
Now, no one’s quite sure as to exactly WHAT form of government will ultimately replace the Morsi regime in the long term, although the general consensus seems to be: probably something even worse.

I miss Andrew Klavan’s video versions of “Klavan on the Culture” on PJTV.
He still does the same material today on PJMedia.com, but now only in a column format rather than the clips. I dunno: whether it was his delivery style, his exaggerated exaggerations, or maybe his unusually wide stance…..
Whatever it was, those darn videos never failed to make me laugh.
So, I thought I’d share a recent post from his column that made me laugh…even though it also made me wish I’d written it.

UPDATE – June 19, 2014: ***(Spoke with a co-worker of mine yesterday, and immediately thought of this old post…)***
Had a conversation recently with a dear friend of mine about the existence of God.
To make it simple: I believe, he doesn’t.
We’ve had several (okay, more than several) conversations about God, religion, creation, etc., over the years, and we’ve thus far continued to agree to disagree. These conversations are always couched with respect, in part because we’re good friends. As an interesting side note, you should also know that we’re relatively in-sync with many of our ‘big’ beliefs, …save this one.
