The President who finds out about EVERY scandal as it breaks in the news, now claims to never watch the news, because “…whatever they’re reporting about, usually I know…”

obama-epic-fail

This is an example of either:

  • blatant, head-shaking stupidity, OR
  • this man’s ego is such that he honestly believes whatever vacuous verbiage spills out of his pie-hole to be unqualified brilliance, despite any/all previous contradictory utterances on his part.

Of course, it COULD be both…

From the Washington Times:

“…In scandal after scandal in the Obama administration, President Obama has said he didn’t know about the problems until he heard it on the news.

But the president changed his tune about his supposed ignorance at a Democratic fundraiser near Seattle on Tuesday night.

Mr. Obama told supporters that he doesn’t watch the news because, “Whatever they’re reporting about, usually I know.”

That contrasts with the explanations that the president and his aides have given from scandals in the past few years ranging from long wait times and deaths at the VA, to the IRS targeting tea party groups, to the Fast and Furious gun-running operation, and the Department of Justice spying on news reporters.

In each of those cases, Mr. Obama or his aides have said the president learned about the scandals from news reports…”

Remember when all the Obama acolytes were going on & on about how “smart” he was, and how “brilliant” he was? Remember his “just words” speech, about how silly it was to discount (his) power to change the world through the power of (his) speaking?

Remember?

Seems like a very, VERY long time ago, …doesn’t it?

  1. Does anybody really believe anything he says anymore about anything? He’s a good fundraiser and can talk a load of bullshit with the best of them. His occupancy in our house can’t really end fast enough!

  2. C’mon… call him what he is – a pathological liar.

    • Well, he’s certainly that, Art.

But comments like his latest one implies that it’s deeper than just mere dishonesty.

He is a deeply delusional man, and/or not nearly as smart as we’ve repeatedly been told.

      • Personally I think he’s a narcissistic “sock puppet” who believes his enablers’ bullshit and really doesn’t care what happens to the country because he’s set for life and nobody can touch him.

His enablers are left over 60’s radicals who can’t believe their good luck and are milking it for everything they can. And the “business community” is taking crony capitalism to new heights on the taxpayer’s dime.

And who gets screwed? The middle class decent people who go to church, raise their families, pay their taxes and are trying to get a life.

Unlike Mark Twain’s “death”, the rumors of Mr. Obama’s brilliance HAVE been greatly exaggerated!

  4. JTR,
I think I can come up with the White House’s rationale for how both versions are true. I think the President is really trying to say this:
“I already knew about the VA, the IRS, the DOJ spying, and Fast and Furious. What I found by watching it on TV was that they’d been disclosed and were now officially scandals.”
I think that squares both versions, doesn’t it?
About a year ago I lampooned Barack Obama as the “Remote Control President.” And more recently I lampooned him as a “Liar“. Since those things haven’t changed, it’s no wonder I’ve been running out of new things to write about lately. 😦
    Cheers,
    – Jeff

  5. Obama doesn’t watch the news because he does not care what anybody else thinks.
