I suppose it’s always easier to get your critics to shut up, instead of bothering to address their criticism. But trying to stifle this woman’s tragic story is part and parcel of the current Democrat approach: lie, deny, and then squash dissent.

Easier to get your critics to shut up, instead of bothering to address their criticism — this is what we call demagogy (not democracy, certainly not freedom of speech). And this is the reality of the political situation we are in today. It’s sad.
