One of my all-time favorite comedy routines.
This bit by George Carlin is a remarkably insightful and humorous take on the differences between our National Pastime (baseball) and the Country’s Greatest Sport (football).
But here’s a hint: football wins.
If you haven’t seen it before, this is classic Carlin. Of particular note is the lack of any “language warning”: there’s none necessary, I promise.
Which is just one more reason I love it.
One of my all-time favorites: “I’m going home”
This is also one of the only “clean” Carlin routines that I could show my sons….
That was cute. I loved Carlin’s take on saving the planet as well.
Agreed, Alan.
Carlin was at times a brilliant comedian. And other times I didn’t get what he obviously thought was quite funny.
This time, though, he was right on target.
Reblogged this on Power To The People and commented:
In honor of football
Thanks for the reblog!!
Cheers! And thanks for that.
You’re welcome, tannngl!
Every once in a while, I need a break, too…..
Finding a Carlin clip that doesn’t have the F-bomb dropped every 4th word is truly an accomplishment. I had completely forgotten about this clip. Great stuff!
