As the proud son of a Naval Officer, I’m always mindful of the sacrifices our men and women in uniform have made to ensure our freedom.
Without their service, which included the dual “benefits” of mediocre pay and tremendous personal risk, we’d have no buffer between us and the cruel, heartless despots around the globe.

So today, if you have a veteran in your life, please be sure to thank them.
If you just happen to see someone in uniform, be sure to stop …and thank them.
Whether it’s someone you see daily, or an acquaintance with whom you haven’t spoken in ages, …thank them.
Risking everything to protect our families and futures, they didn’t do so in order to receive our kudos or praise. Which begs all the more for us to OFFER them.
For those who served..
For those who gave their life…
For those families who lost a loved one….
For those who returned from war MUCH different than when they entered…
John 15:13 tells us that: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
These brave men and women freely put their lives at risk….not only for “friends”, but the ideals of freedom.
We owe them a full heart of thanks and honoring them.
Thank him for his service.
