Our President’s Narcissism is now obvious to everyone…

Seriously, there’s something very, very wrong with this man.

Do you remember Obama’s response to the Ft. Hood shooting?

“…After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word went out that the president would speak about the incident prior to a previously scheduled appearance. At about 5 p.m., cable stations went to the president. The situation called for not only his trademark eloquence, but also grace and perspective.

But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a “shout-out” to “Dr. Joe Medicine Crow — that Congressional Medal of Honor winner.”

Three minutes in, the president [finally] spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms.

Who is advising him?

This speaks to a total lack of empathy which is …well, it’s kinda creepy, and it’s one of the initial reasons folks like me started to refer to the president as the Narcissist-in-Chief.

His supporters laughed that off as being a big nothing-burger, but he never completely shook that label. Originally thought to be “cool”, that moment revealed Obama to be eerily cold, instead.

Fast forward to this Monday, following the news of the tragic Shooting at the Navy Yard. The following four videos (below) will give you a better sense of what happened this time, and how incredibly unsettling it actually is. It’s not just that Obama seemed unbothered by what had happened: it’s that he practically bent over backwards to make it clear that he was unbothered.

Like I said: creepy.

Obama’s obvious lack of any semblance of awareness or tact is jarring, …or at least it would be to anyone who’d been ignoring all the signs of this before now.

The President’s recent Syria fiasco has shown the country that he has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to our military. Yet when viewed in context with THIS incident, it’s obvious why: he doesn’t actually give a rat’s hindquarters about our military.

And I suspect that feeling applies to the rest of us, too.

  1. Great and insightful post as always! Of course I long knew of his conceit, but the true epiphany for me was only a few months ago when it occurred to me that he named his dog after his own initials. There are millions of more serious matters to consider, but who names their dog after themselves?

  2. Yes, the symptoms have always been there. Remember this from Oct 2011, when he was reading to school children: http://tbrickert.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/narc.jpg
    Creepy is indeed the word
    Great Post!

  3. The man is beyond a standard clinical diagnosis. Frankly, I believe he is the new face of evil. This is the same man who has ZERO problem with partial birth abortion, and who told a reporter that her 95 year old mother really didn’t need surgery. Remember? We can’t quantify “zest for life”? Send her home, give her a pill, and let her die. How, in the name of all that is moral, can he be seen as anything else but a pure deceiver, driven by evil?

  4. “Who is advising him?” … satan.

  5. At one time I thought of OBAMA as a cowardly fool…….I now see him as a pompous arrogant coward of man. God will not allow me to hate him but I’ll tell you this: I have absolutely zero respect for this flap-jack eared buffoon. Thanks for this informative piece.

    • Thanks, Slayer! “Pompous, arrogant coward” is as good a descriptive as any for Dear Leader.
And while I still have respect for the position which he holds, I can admit no respect for the man.

  6. I heard his address regarding Sandy Hook on the radio and was astounded that he was able to make it all about himself. Didn’t even want to hear what he said this time. He’s increasingly narcissistic, detached, feckless and irrelevant.
He took an incredible opportunity and turned it into a massive train-wreck.

    • It has become much more difficult for me to listen to the President as of late. He just keeps getting angrier, which is a far cry from his original Hope-n-Change shtick. Reminds me a bit of Captain Queeg in ‘The Cain Mutiny’, only without Bogart’s charisma.

He has always exhibited narcissistic tendencies, but it’s now on full display, 24/7. Not like it’s going to get better any time soon, either…
