What is EASY vs. what is TRUE

In the middle of all the “Romney-caused-the-world-to-explode” hyperventilating by the Neutered Media, we just had this headline from the Daily Caller:

“CALLING REPUBLICANS RACIST MORE EFFECTIVE THAN CRITICIZING POLICY”

As I’ve said recently, their mask is off.

More from the Daily Caller piece:

A top official at a liberal super PAC with the goal of eradicating tea partiers from Congress is telling activists that it’s more effective to label Republicans as racists than criticize their policies.

According to an audio recording obtained by The Daily Caller, Matthew “Mudcat” Arnold, the national campaign manager of the liberal CREDO super PAC, told a gathering of supporters in Aurora, Colo., on Sept. 8 that they’ve realized “policy did not move voters.”

He used Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King as an example.

“When we said that Steve King … is pro-life and believes in cutting Social Security and voted for the Ryan budget, no one cared,” Arnold said. “When we said Steve King’s a racist, Steve King believes that immigrants ought to be put in electric fences, people moved.”

The Left will use any tool at their disposal as long as it is effective. Lying is especially easy. There are no Marquess of Queensberry rules being employed by their side. Thus, the wholly unsubstantiated and completely untrue cry of ‘Racist’ has proven to be their best way for rallying their side, so they’ll abuse it like a subway station restroom.

Gleefully.

We’re just a small, humble blog. But here on ‘Two Heads’, we hyperlink the heck out of nearly every post, since we’re trying to be fair and honest. Sarcastic and entertaining, to be sure, ….but still: fair & honest.

The left isn’t operating under the same pretenses. At all.

This week’s Middle East horrors have unfolded in much the same way: the media narrative was set early on, and nothing, NOTHING, was allowed to detract from it… most especially the truth. Just listen to how Kirstin Powers (the Daily Beast columnist and self-avowed liberal) described even her disgust at this the other night with Megyn Kelly:

FYI: The entire panel discussion is over at Mediaite, if you’d like to watch it.

We know we aren’t going to get a fair shake from the media. Since I’ve been watching all of the Harry Potter movies with my two sons this past couple weeks, I can’t help but make the connections between the movie’s “punishment” for telling the truth being “I must not tell lies” carved into one’s flesh, and our media’s ridiculous ‘Romneyfication’ of this week’s events.

The level of projection that some of these journalists employ is nearly just as staggering as the movies’.

But this isn’t a movie or a book; this is real.

This weekend, when you are with friends or with your church group, or anywhere, and if the subject of current events comes up, …do NOT be afraid to call out the horrific injustice being perpetrated on our citizens by our journalists and our elected leaders. When someone remarks, “Oh, isn’t so-and-so the guy who’s racist?”, make sure you can quote this report. If they say, “…yeah, that Romney guy: can’t believe he jumped the gun like that”, make sure you set them straight.

If we don’t, who will?

We mustn’t stay silent. We cannot let the Media Narrative wash over us, as if we were standing on the beach as the tide rolls in. We have the truth on our side.

And as my sainted mother used to tell us: “it’s better to be castigated for telling the truth, than to be celebrated for going along with a lie.”
